Betsy Bobo Elliott, 69, passed away February 25, 2021. Betsy was born in Cleveland, MS, on September 26, 1951, and Cleveland was her home her entire life. After graduating from Cleveland High School in 1969, she attended Delta State University, was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and over the years came to know everyone on campus, forming close relationships too numerous to count. Samuel Bryce Griffis, 90, passed away on December 09, 2020, due to COVID -19 complications. Bryce was born April 21, 1930, to Sam and Pauline Griffis in Sturgis MS. He grew up in Grenada MS and graduated from Grenada High School, where he was a four-sport letterman and an Eagle Scout.
He served four years in the Mississippi National Guard, including 18 months of active duty during the Korean conflict.

Steven J. (Steve) McClellan, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 5, in his beloved Delta hunting grounds near Gunnison, Mississippi.
A lifelong son of the Delta, Steve’s beloved parents, Albert Polk McClellan and Gloria Jean Guerieri McClellan, both of Cleveland, preceded him in death and were there to welcome him to heaven, along with Steve’s dear nephew, Matt Gregory.
He began his educational journey at Bayou Academy and then earned degrees from Mississippi Delta Community College and Delta State University (BA and MBA).

Delta State University honored Malik Sinegal, Class of 2019, for his recent achievement of becoming the Youngest African American Boeing 777 Pilot in the world.
