Bob M. Dearing Memorial Scholarship

Delta State University wishes to recognize Senator Dearing through the newly created Bob M. Dearing Memorial Scholarship. Senator Dearing’s early years serving as a teacher, principal, and coach proved to be a great foundation for his career in politics. His life supported this pathway and we have found that formal education inspires people to take a greater interest in civic responsibility and encourages them to take a position on issues in society. For these reasons, the family wishes to support students in education. We hope that you will join us.
