Delta State University honored Malik Sinegal, Class of 2019, for his recent achievement of becoming the Youngest African American Boeing 777 Pilot in the world. The event took place at the Delta State University Flight Hangar. Joe Saia, Interim Chair of the Department of Commercial Aviation, Delta State University President William N. LaForge, and Vice President of University Advancement and External Relations Rick Munroe all gave remarks on Malik’s milestone accomplishment.

Named after devoted Mississippian, community advocate, and Delta State University alumna Lucy Janoush, who was instrumental in securing funding for the development of the Mississippi Museum, the L.U.C.Y.
